What Voxara Is and Is Not
Voxara is a student-led volunteer platform that connects volunteers with communities that need them across four programs: Together in Tune (music), Game Day (sports), Tech Bridge (technology help), and Bright Minds (tutoring). More programs, including internships and research, are planned for the future. Sessions arranged on Voxara include music performances, sports and recreation events, technology help sessions, and tutoring. Voxara is not a medical, therapy, or healthcare provider and makes no health claims about its sessions. Voxara volunteers are not licensed professionals.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Voxara. If you are under 18, you may join only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we record that consent with your application.
Accounts
You create a Voxara account by signing in with your Google account and completing the volunteer or host application at Join Voxara. There is no separate sign-up form: an account cannot be created until the application, including parent or guardian consent for volunteers under 18, has been submitted. Email and password sign-in is available only for accounts that already exist. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your Google account secure, and for activity that happens through your Voxara account.
Using Voxara
By using the Voxara website, you agree to these terms. You agree to treat other users with respect and to follow the Community Standards.
Sessions and Scheduling
Volunteers and hosts use Voxara to find each other, message, and schedule sessions. Submitting a message or a scheduling proposal does not guarantee a session. Both sides must confirm the details before a session takes place.
Donations
Voxara does not currently accept donations. Voxara is not a registered charity, and nothing on this site is a solicitation of charitable contributions.
User Content
You keep ownership of the content you post on Voxara, including your application answers, your messages, and any photos or stories you submit. By posting it, you grant Voxara a limited license to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You can ask us to remove your content at any time.
Termination
Voxara may suspend or remove an account that violates these Terms or the Community Standards. You may delete your own account at any time from Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account.
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer
Voxara is a platform that connects volunteers with hosts. Voxara does not supervise sessions and is not responsible for what happens during them. Volunteers and hosts are responsible for their own conduct, their own safety, and any documents a host requires. Volunteers are not licensed professionals and do not provide medical, therapy, or healthcare services. Voxara is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform.
What Voxara Is Not
Voxara is not a nonprofit, an employer, or an accredited educational institution. Voxara does not offer school credit, guarantee employment, or provide professional licensing. Service hours are confirmed by the host organization, not verified by Voxara. Certificates document confirmed hours only and do not imply accreditation or nonprofit status.
Your Data
You own your information. You can delete your uploaded documents at any time, and you can delete your account and data yourself from Profile, then Settings, then Delete Account, or by emailing joinvoxara@gmail.com. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.
Changes to Terms
Voxara may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of Voxara after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
